The other common causes of depression can be poor nutrition, childhood traumatic experience, accidental injury, medical illnesses, blood sugar imbalances, allergies or excessive intake of drugs and alcohol. Some of the important tests recommended for depression are blood test, hormonal test, neurotransmitter test, thyroid test and digestive test.
